First Aid Courses are held at our medical Training Centre in
Sunderland or at your place of work, throughout the North East and UK
Our Trainers and Assessors are all professionals, with appropriate teaching qualifications who have had years of experience dealing with First Aid in the real world.
Certificates are issued promptly after course completion and each delegate receives a First Aid Manual
Ofqual Regulated Level 3 (RQF)
This 3 day First Aid at Work course is for people intending to act as a First Aider at Work in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The course is designed to provide the First Aider with the skills to deal with an emergency effectively, to give emergency life support, diagnose and treat injuries or illness, and maintain care and comfort of the casualty with the emphasis on preventing situations from becoming worse and maintaining life until help arrives. This course can be adapted specifically for your workplace First Aid requirements. The course can be run on non-consecutive days, for example – one day a week over three weeks, by arrangement. Ofqual Regulated Level 3 (RQF)
This regulated two-day First Aid at Work course is for individuals who wish to renew their First Aid at Work certificate in order to continue to act as a workplace First Aider. Please Note: This course is only available to First Aiders who must have previously attended a First Aid at Work course and wish to renew their certificate. The course is designed to renew First Aider skills with up-to-date first aid procedures and techniques, so that they can continue to deal promptly and effectively with a wide range of situations that may arise in the work environment. This course was previously known as the HSE 2 Day First Aid at Work Requalification Course. As of 1st October 2013 the HSE will no longer Approve any First Aid Courses. However the Health & Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981 still apply. The Award is valid for 3 years.
Ofqual Regulated Level 3 (RQF)
This one day course is a regulated Emergency First Aid at Work qualification suitable for persons who are required to act as Emergency First Aider or Appointed Person in the place of work. It is also a popular option for anyone requiring basic first aid training outside of the workplace. The course is designed to equip students with the skills to deal with an emergency effectively, with the emphasis on preventing situations from becoming worse and maintaining life until help arrives.
This course is ideal for a lower risk businesses, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations and includes both theory and practical sessions. The award is valid for 3 Years.
Ofqual Accredited Level 2 QAF
The 3 Hour First Aid at Work Refresher course is for people who are qualified in either Full or Emergency First Aid .
The course is designed to update and refresh the First Aider with the skills necessary to give effective life support, diagnose and treat injuries or illness, and maintain care and comfort of the casualty. As of 1st October 2013 the HSE will no longer Approve any First Aid Courses, however the Health & Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981 still apply The HSE recommend that every First Aider should refresh their skills annually.
Ofqual Regulated Level 3 (RQF)
This Two Day Paediatric course is recommended for individuals who provide a high level of care for babies and children under 8 years old so that they can deal promptly and competently with situations that may arise when caring for children and babies. This course is ideal for registered Child Minders in England and Wales as they are required to have a Paediatric First Aid certificate, including parents, nannies, au pairs, nursery workers, playgroup leaders and anybody who deals with
children and wants a more in-depth course. This course may also be used as evidence for those working towards an NVQ in Child Care and Education (level 3) The course syllabus has been designed in accordance with the UK resuscitation guidelines
(2005) and meets Ofsted requirements.
This Paediatric First Aid course is in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early
Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) It is suitable for Childminders, Nursery and School staff (dealing with Foundation Stage)
The training is consistent with guidance set out in the ‘Practice Guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage (Appendix 1 page 23). under 8 years old. The course syllabus has been designed in accordance with the UK resuscitation guidelines (2010) The award is valid for 3 years
Ofqual Regulated Level 3 (RQF) 
This is a One day Emergency Paediatric First Aid Training course which has been designed specifically for those who provide care for babies and children under 8 years old, Parents and Child Carers. It is designed for people who have a professional
involvement with children and babies but don’t have to comply with Ofsted requirements. The course covers basic life saving and first aid for babies, children and adults and how to take charge in the event of an accident or illness.The course syllabus has been designed in accordance with the UK resuscitation guidelines (2005) and meets Ofsted requirements.The award is valid for 3 years
